Ray Leads Surging Comeback!

Sorry about the time off I've just been really busy with stuff. High school almost over. This Saturday isn't over but Ray has already made it a great one. Ray took down the $300 FO for almost 23k! He entered the final table with the chip lead and that's when things started to get crazy. Ray lost the chip lead with 4 people left when he lost AK to 1010. He was down to less than 6 BBs when he started to run good. A3 beat QQ and 66 beat AJ and he was chip leader again. QJ lost to AK and he was short stack again. The other guy lost and he was HU but with a 3:1 disadvantage. Ray ran it over and had AQ beat 1010, QQ beat 33, and A10 beat QJ and it was over. Great work Ray!

Thayer, Adam Lead Wafflecrushers

On a day when everyone seemed to run like garbage, Thayer and Adam somehow both ended Sunday on a good note. Thayer made it to the final table of the UB 500 and for once ran really well. At the final table he won a lot of huge pots and like usual got it in way ahead mostly. He made it to HU with about even stacks. When it got to HU Thayer started to run bad and make good hands when the other guy was flopping monsters. Thayer took down 2nd for $12k. Adam ran about 15 pages worth of shittiness all day. His last tourney of the night, the 33r, he started to run well. He got it HU and got the other guy really low. His opponent made an exxcellent comeback but he was no match for Adam and Adam eventually took it down for $7200. Other Wafflecrushers had decent runs/days. Hertz cashed in 5 tournies and FT bubbled the 65k. Shaun made a deep run in the million and had a top 5 stack but it didn't pan out. It was a pretty solid Sunday for Wafflecrushers let's hope that they continue to run good. (LOL)

Shaun Fucking Deeeb x3

Nothing really happened last night for anyone but Shaun. Thayer had great stacks semi-deep into a lot of tournies and just ran really bad losing all of them. Jon went very far in the 1k and got 15th after running his 66 into AA in a BVB matchup. Shaun also made it far in the 1k. After building a huge stack Shaun entered the final table with about an average stack. Shaun went very carddead at the final table and eventually got pretty short. He ninja'd his way back and became the chipleader with 3 people left. He ran pretty bad 3 handed and got good hands in way behind. He got 3rd for $40k. Great job Shaun!

Cheers For Adam!

Adam had the best run of the night and congrats to him for getting the biggest score of his career. Adam went deep in the FTP Weekly 100r and couldn't have played any better. I talked to him after the tournament and he said post rebuy period he sucked out for all his chips once the whole tourney. That suckout was the pot that gave him a top 5 stack with less than 30 people left. He got it in with 65 against AA on a 43j flop. He hit his straight and that kept him in the tournament. At the final table Adam ran pretty poorly in terms of getting hands and getting 3 bet. It seemed that when he was stealing he'd get action and when he wasn't he wouldn't. Adam eventually got 3rd for 15k when the chipleader who may have been mentally challenged called his all in for 15 BB's with QJ against Adam's A2 and he flopped trip queens. This was Adam's biggest score so congrats Adam lets hope this amazing streak Wafflecrush is on continues!

Thayer, Jon, Both Cash In 1k

Thayer and Jon both made deep runs in the 1k Monday and both got a little unlucky to lose. Jon lost an avg stack pot in a blind vs blind battle with his AJ losing to the opponents Q5. The flop was j84 all diamonds and Jon held the ace of diamonds. The board came 67 no diamonds and the opponent hit a straight.
Thayer ran pretty well up until about 2 tables left. He 3 bet a MP raiser all in from the SB with AJ and the opponent had AA and held. GL tomorrow night!

Psyduck Leads The Come Close Squad

Sunday was a very long day for Wafflecrush as many people came close but couldn't finish. Adam bubbled basically everything. Thayer ft'ed a tournament and got 4th. He also came close in the 200r, and the 100 1r 1 ao on FTP. Shaun made a good run in the 100r but bubbled. Shaun also got 3rd in the 50k on PS for about $8500. Jon also made a good run in that 100r and FT'ed. He got 7th when he got it all in with A7 vs K5 on a 10103 board. (WTF was K5 doing?). Vivek had the run of the day when he made the Sunday Million FT. This is an impressive feat as this is the 2nd straight week a Wafflecrusher has FT'ed. Vivek ran terribly and lost huge pots where he had the opponent crushed. He eventually lost K5 to A2 AIPF despite flopping 2 pair. GG Vivek.

Adam's Weeknight Return A Semi-Success

Two final tables and a final table bubble is pretty damn good. Fuckin internet. Early in the Thursday night Adam final tabled a $55 6 max on PS. He ran pretty bad at the final table and lost when his AQ ran into AK. Later in the night Adam was near the FT in the UB 150 and the 27.50 25k Gteed on PS when his internet went out. He couldn't return until he was down to about 5 BBs at the FT of UB and 3 BBs with 25 ppl left in the 27.50. He doubled in both but lost minutes later.
Ray also FT'ed the 1500 at the Wynn Classic. Unfortunately he lost a huge race and got 7th for $6300. Good job Ray!

Thayer's FT Leads Wafflecrush Charge

It was a rough Wednesday night for most Wafflecrushers. Thayer, however, played extremely well tonight. Thayer went deep in the 100 1 rebuy 1 add on and the 65k Gteed both on FTP. The 100r didn't end well, he was chip leader with 15 people left and got 14th when his KK ran into AA and his AQ lost to K9 on an A hi flop.
The 65k, however, did end well. Thayer was short stack heading into the final table and built his stack to where he was close to even with the other 4 people, 5 handed. The rest of the tournament took a really long time as it seemed no one could lose. Thayer eventually got 3rd when his K5 lost to 910 and than he shoved his last 6 BBs from the SB with 67 and got snapped by 88. He won about 11k for a good score. GJ Thayer!

Ray, Shaun Own Tuesday Night

Tuesday was a great night for Wafflecrush. Ray and Shaun were the only two playing but they did really well. Both FT'd the 100r. Shaun got 5th when Ray busted him 88 beating 22. Later Ray got 3rd when he lost KK to A9 for a lot of chips.
Shaun also FT'ed the Daily Double A, getting 2nd for around 2k. Shaun also went deep in the 50r on FTP. Shaun finished 14th.
Thayer cashed in the 1k event at the Wynn Classic. He made it to the final 3 tables but once again couldn't final table. Keep goin deep in live events Thayer, you'll win one of these times.

IMO

Thayer, Ray Only 2 playing

Neither went deep in anything really. Thayer built decent stacks but lost big hands where most of the time he was getting it in good. GL Tuesday night, Tuesday has a lot of good tournaments for the taking.

The Epitomy Of Wafflecrush

Jesus.....just Jesus, maybe I shouldn't be surprised by now. You'd expect when Wafflecrush profited over 60k in one Sunday I'd be ecstatic. But not today.
I'm gonna start off by congragulating Ray and Carter for playing amazing today. Everyone had deepish runs but these two stood out.
Carter went deep in the Sunday Million. Carter played amazing poker I don't think he got it in bad once in the last 100 people remaining. Carter final tabled and had about 25 BB's when the following hand happened. Blinds 200k/400k/, Carter's sitting in the SB with about 9.5 million, and the Villain is on the button with about 25 million. It folds to the button who raises to 1.1 million, Carter makes it 3.2 million and the button snap shoves. Carter quickly calls and turns over QQ and the Villain flips over A4cc. The flop comes 367cc. The turn is a 7. The river is an A and Carter is eliminated in 7th. He makes 20k in cash but that pot would have given him almost a 2x chiplead. Again, it's unfortunate this happened, but let's not forget about how amazing Carter played and hope that his awesome play continues.
Ray followed this up with an amazing run of his own. Ray was chipleader of the 100r with about 60 people left. He kept building and building and I have to say that until the final table he ran pretty horrible. At one point when the average stack was 200k, Ray lost 250k in pots in a 10 minute span, A4 losing to Q5, AK losing to A6, and AQ to A10. This didn't stop him and he ended up winning th tournament! He ran really hot heads up hitting two open ended straight draws all in against pairs. Ray played a really great tournament and deserved this more than anyone. Let's hope this is a trend that continues for Wafflecrush!

Thayer Only Player Playing Saturday

And it didn't go over too well. He'd either lose early, or make a deep run and get sucked out on. Perfect example, 100r, he builds a good stack, gets semi-deep, loses huge pot KK vs. QQ AIPF. Thayer only played the majors so it wasn't too many tournies but it's safe to say if he ran a little better he could've won something good. (I'm not too sure what that means because that's pretty much true for all amazing players.)
Also I'd like to take this post to welcome back Scott "SCTrojans" Freeman. After a decent span of not playing he played a bunch of tournies yesterday and it's good to see him back playing again. Poker missed you Scott.

Shaun Carries Team

Shaun actually was the only Wafflecrusher to play but he played well enough for everyone. First Shaun went deep in both the 3r and the 100r at the same time. The 3r didn't pan out when he lost a monster pot AKsooted to TT with 70 ppl left. The 100r, however, did pan out and he got 3rd. He got 24 bbs in preflop with 22 and got called by some soulreader with K8 and the guy got there. Shaun made 8k for that score. Than later that night Shaun won the 55 4-max for 3100. Great Job Shaun!

IMO

Thayer, Bakes, Ray all go deep

Thayer had the best run of the night but Ray and Bakes also made good runs of their own. All three players went deep in a 100r, Thayer going deep in the PS one and Ray and Bakes going deep in the ftp one.
Thayer built a huge stack after having a roughish rebuy period. He had a good 2 hours after the first break just continuing to win big pot after big pot and always getting the money in good. He was 2nd stack with about 15 people left and had a top 5 stack going into the FT. He ran pretty bad at the final table to be honest. Although he did chip up a lot he was never ever getting it in bad. He should have had more chips than he had and it wasn't like he was winning races all the time he was always getting it in way ahead. He just played really well. He got it 4 handed and lost a big pot than doubled up than lost another big pot to get him short. With about 11 bbs he was in the bb and the sb open shoved into him. Thayer snapped him off with AA and the sb had q9o. The sb got there flopping 2 pair and Thayer couldn't improve. GG
Bakes and Ray both cashed in the FTP Wednesday 100r. Ray lost AA to 85cc and busted with around 30 ppl left and Bakes ran pretty horribly and bubbled the final two tables. Gl tomorrow night!

Rough Tuesday For Wafflecrush

Nothing really happened Tuesday night. The 1k was the special and no one really made it to the 3rd break. Thayer went deep in the Stuper but got 48th. Jon went far in the fifty-fifty on FTP. Shaun really carried the torch for Wafflecrush. He went deep in both the 50r and the 30r on FTP. He got 2nd in the 30r for $4200, and FT bubbled the 50r. Gl tomorrow night WC!

Many Busts Deep In The Money

Thayer and Shaun led the team in a Monday night full of deep busts. Thayer built great stacks in the Stuper, 1k, and the 55k and Shaun did well in the late 100 FO. Thayer's first bustout came in the Stuper in the money when he lost big pots with an overpair and a straight both times losing to flush draws. His 2nd bust came in the 1k when he lost a 16k race when the avg was 8k and still had 5k left over. He than ran into AA and was out. His final bustout came in the 55k when he again shoved into AA. Rough Night for Thayer coming after his tough day at the LAPC when he went from chip leader to busto pretty quickly. He ran pretty horribly there as well losing pots like 44 to k2, 1010 to 109, and QQ to AK for a monster pot.
Shaun went really deep in the late night 100 FO. Shaun was just running the table over stealing and winning big pots. He than made a sick call behind trap play with AA that ultimately ended up getting it all in 3 way with his AA up against the chip leaders 1010 and a shorter stacks QQ. Unfortunately the 10 on the river lost him the stack for a monster chip stack and he was out.
Lots of Wafflecrushers seem to be playing tonight so here's to hoping something big happens!

Huge Sunday For Wafflecursh

It seemed like everyone had a part in a huge Sunday for Wafflecrush. Everyone went deep in something. First I'd like to start by saying a huge sorry to Shaun for the beat he took in the LAPC ME. (AA loses to AA for a billion chips AIPF.) So the day consisted of Hertz going deep in the 11r, Carter going deep in the Million and the 55k, Adam in the 2nd 100r, Jon, Thayer, and Ray all still in the LAPC, and Bakes had good runs in 2 huge tournies. Shaun ended the night on a great note in the 200r.
Hertz made a great run in the 11r which had almost 4k runners. Hertz ended up top 50ying the tourney but got short and ran into AA.
Carter kept going back and forth in the million. He'd double than blind down and double again. Eventually he busted deep in the money. Carter also went deep in the 55k and actually final two tabled it. He bubbled the final table when he got short and his AJ lost to AQ.
Adam was doing really well in the 100r but his JJ ran into QQ for a huge pot and lost.
Bakes had a huge day, at the same time as he was final tabling the 100r he was in the 750k on FTP with 30 people left. Unfortunately Bakes got 14th in the 750k when his QQ couldn't hold against 77 for a big stack. Bakes also got 3rd in the 100r and lost when his AQ ran into AK and he couldn't get there.
Thayer, Jon, and Ray all are still in the LAPC ME with Thayer leading the way with a top 10 stack.
Shaun ended the night with a 6th in the 200r. This won Wafflecrush 12k but unfortunately he busted when his KK lost to another person's KK. Twice in one day. Just Wafflecursed I suppose...
Great job todayd guys!

Carter Goes Deep

Carter was the only Wafflecrusher to play Wednesday night and he did not disappoint. Carter went deep in the UB ME and the FTP 25k Gteed. Both he played really well in and got really unlucky to lose in.
The first was the 25k Gteed on FTP. Carter got off to a slow start and was pretty short but was kind of hanging on. He made a huge run and kept doubling up. He got unlucky along the way losing big pots getting it in ahead. He got to the final two tables and was 5/18 going into them. He lost a 10 BB pot QQ losing to 55 AIPF. With 10 ppl left on the final table bubble he lost a 75 BB pot with KK when he ran into AA. He didn't get there and busted out in 10th.
The UB ME Carter had a good stack the whole way. With 14 ppl left he again ran his KK into AA and couldn't get there again. Good job tonight Carter. UL man.
GL to Shaun and Ray in the LAPC, 18 people left, 120k to first. Gogogogo

Ray FT's 55k

Ray led Wafflecrush on another slow night. Shaun, Ray, and Jon were the only ones playing tonight and Ray was the only one to do any damage. Ray went very deep in the PS 100 FO and the FTP 55k Gteed. Ray got 27th in the 100 FO. Ray final tabled the 55k and was looking pretty good. He blinded off a little bit and than got it all in for about 30 BBs with TT vs AK and lost. He got 7th for about $3k. Good job Ray!

IMO

Ray, Bakes Only Wafflecrushers Playing

And Ray was the only one to go deep in anything Monday night. Bakes went out early in the 3 tournies he played and Ray went out earlyish in 2.
The one Ray didn't go out early in was the 100r on PS. Ray built a good stack in the rebuy period and continued to build throughout the tournament. He made it in the money and had 40 bbs when he just started to run horrible. One hand Ray lost a 45 BB POT with AK losing to AQ AIPF. He was down to 10 BBS after that and worked his way back up a little bit. Than with around 25 people left Ray lost a decent sized pot KK losing to A8 AIPF and that was the end of Ray's night.
Thayer and Shaun were playing at a live SNG at The Bike (Ray told me I don't really know what the hell that is) which will be streaming online soon so if anyone actually reads this you should check it out.

Nothing Big On a Big Sunday

It seems to be the same story for Team Wafflecrush every time theres a big day or a Sunday: They have a bunch of people go deep in stuff that doesn't pan out and ends in something stupid. Let's take Sunday. Ray goes deep in Warmup and loses huge pot AA vs A10s AIPF. He fought back but eventually lost another big race QQ vs AK AIPF. Adam and Carter go deep in the 100r, Adam loses early in the money, Carter loses race at FT to get 9th. Adam and Bakes go deep in Million. Adam loses huge pot KK to 106 AIPF. Bakes actually was chipleader for a long time. His stack than seemed to implode losing big pot after big pot. He ended up getting 31st when AQ couldn't hold against A10 in a huge pot. He also FT'ed the 100 FO on PS. He got 8th. Hertz went deep in the Daily Fifteen Grand which had 4200 runners. With 10 people left it was like PS remembered he was a Wafflecrusher because he started to run horribly. 88 loses to A5, A9 splits with A2, he lost a couple of races and got 10th. Hertz also went deep in the first FTOP of the day and was chipleader. He than lost some big races and it's the same story it didn't pan out and he lost semi deep in the money. Adam had a chance to have the biggest score of the day when he went deep in the FTOP Main Event. He built up a really huge stack but ultimately lost a huge race TT vs AJ all in on a Q92cc board. This was a pretty fitting way to end the night for Wafflecrush.

Sorry!

I've been visiting schools and it's been pretty busy the last few days. I feel bad because I couldn't watch WC Thursday night or Friday night.
Anyways, onto Saturday. Saturday was a pretty slow day. Adam, Shaun, Thayer, Vivek, Jon, Bakes, and Billy (played the $2500 FTOP under WC, last year he FT'ed the 2500 and the Omaha Hi FTOP's in the same day) all played. Thayer, Vivek, Jon, and Bakes really only played the $2500 and none made really deep runs although Jon and Bakes made it semi-deep. Shaun and Adam both played a solid amount of tournaments and both had solid finishes. Shaun cashed in the 100r and got 4th in the FTP Winner's Choice tourney.
Adam FTed the 20r on FTP and made it far in the early 100r. He also went deep in the Daily Fifty Grand and the 50 rebuy on PS. Today's a big Sunday so good luck to everyone.

Shaun Fucking Deeb x2

The night after Vivek's big win, Shaun backed it up with a win of his own.

Shaun won the 11r and shipped another big win for Wafflecrush.

Vivek Recharges Wafflecrush On Huge Night

Tuesday night was the biggest night and had the most deep runs of any so far. Thayer, Ray, Hertz, and Vivek all made deep runs in different tournies.
Thayer went far in the 100 FO and the 100r on PS. He cashed in both but didn't make it close to a FT in either.
Hertz went far in the Stuper. He made a good run but his TT ran into QQ in a button vs BB battle and he busted in the middle of the money.
Ray had the team's 2nd best run of the night. Ray was short in the 1k for a long time but as Thayer said "Ray is a good ninja" and Ray fought his way back to become one of the chipleaders pretty late. Ray made the final table and it seemed no one would bust at the final table. It also seemed like he got no hands because he seriously did not play a hand basically the final table. He doubled once through Annette and than lost K9hh losing to K8 all in on a 8xxhh flop.
Vivek is just a pwnasaurus. He may not be able to carry a trophy but he can sure as hell hold his own at the poker table. In the LAPC $2500 NL event Vivek took down first for 110k. I can't say much besides that he basically ran over this event. 4 handed he had 90% of the chips, HU he had 95% of the chips. Congrats Vivek!

Adam Leads A Slow Night For Wafflecrush

On a very down Monday night, Adam made Wafflecrushers happier about his return.
Monday was the night of the 1k FTOP and all the majors on PS and FTP had huge fields and Thayer had really the only decent score of any. Thayer cashed in the Stuper on PS. The rest of the night, besides Adam, was pretty dull.
Adam, like I said, did well in the UB 150. He made a very deep run and ended up getting 3rd for about $2500. One of the main beats he took was KK losing to A5 on a K hi board. Top set loses to flushdraws, w/e gg Adam.

Adam's Back!

So if there's 1 huge win for Wafflecrush it's that Adam "I lose AA to AK on FTP 750k FT Bubble" Shuman is back and this is a big gain for WC. Adam had been playing on and off again but it looks as though he's going to try and get some good volume in the near future. Now onto the Sunday poker.
Today was a record setting day in terms of number of people in certain tournies. The 1 oclock 100r on PS had almost 600 runners and ended up getting 60k to the winner. The 11r had 7600 (!) runners.
The first deep run was made by Ray who went really far in the first FTOP (Event 8) of the day. The tournament was a 6-max KO tourney and Ray ended up getting 21st. It was an amazing run where at 1 point deep Ray nearly tripled his stack without showing a hand once.
The next 10 hours were a ridiculous bunch of many WCers going deep in big tournies. Carter and Jon both made deep runs in the million but neither panned out although both had nice cashes. Hertz and Jon both went deep in the FTOP (Event 9) but neither came close to FT, again both had nice cashes. Finally Shaun, Adam, and Ray all went deep in the 100r and all cashed. Shaun, however, final tabled and got 3rd for 21k.
Carter got 5th in the UB 150 and Thayer got 4th in a 50r on FTP, both late at night to end a good Sunday for WC.

Shaun Ends Wafflecrushes Biggest Night With Biggest Score

Today was Wafflecrushes best day by far since I started blogging about them. Thayer started the day off with a bang by going deep in the $300 FO. After running hot up until the final table Thayer had a very slow final table. He would get no hands, get played back at (Thayer's curse) and get low in chips, than make a run and get a big stack again. He eventually got 3rd for $14k.
Carter made the next deep run which was in the 100r FTOP. Carter played really well and had a great stack up until about 60 people left when he started losing chips left and right. He finished 60th which is a very good run in an FTOP. Jon also cashed in the FTOP but lost shortly after the money bubble A9 losing to 86 AIPF.
Shaun was the night's final deep run and he got off to a great start in the 25k gteed on PS. He basically steamrolled the final table and even lost like 20 all ins when he was ahead/racing. Even that couldn't stop him and he won winning another $14k for Wafflecrush.
This was the biggest night of the year so far for Wafflecrush and brings a good vibe heading into a huge Sunday.

Ray, Carter, Keep Wafflecrush Hot Streak Going

Wafflecrush looked good again tonight even though there weren't a lot of players playing. Hertz and Ray were the only playing at night and Carter played during the day.
Carter started the day off very well going deep in two FTP tournies: The 32k Gteed, and the 20r. He got 41st in the 32k and 2nd in the 20r. He ran horribly heads up even getting it all in A9 vs A4 pre-flop. The dude got there and later beat Carter and Carter took down 2nd for $2500.
Hertz and Ray played the night and both played very well. Hertz made it deep in the Stuper but unfortunately didn't run well at all. When he was a slight favorite the opponent got there, when he was racing he never got there, and eventually busted early in the money.
Ray had the biggest score of the day for Wafflecrush getting 2nd in the 100r for $15,000. Ray played really well and was accumulating chips at a very fast pace. Heads up it appeared that he was running horribly and not hitting any flops. Soon after doubling up to make it even in chips he was a huge underdog again and kept losing pots. He got it all in A5 against A10 and couldn't get there taking down 2nd. Well done Ray!

Carter Pwns...Hertz...Sighhhh

Carter is really on fire and for the millionth time it seems had a great night. He got 2nd in the 50 1 rebuy 1 add on for $4200. He was a slight underdog going into HU and the guy he was playing against ran like God. Also at the ft Carter suffered beats like: KK losing to K9, AK losing to 33 on A84 (AIPF but still gay), and he lost HU A6 losing to K9. Carter also went far in the Stuper. He cashed but lost a huge pot and busted.
Hertz went far in the 5050 on PS and got 18th. His tournament was also very Wafflecrushian (if that makes sense) in that he suffered many bad beats in huge spots. His bustout was no different losing about an avg pot TT to AT. Some of his other beats include: 88 losing to A3, K3 losing to Q9 (sicko hero call by Hertz), and TT losing to K9 all AIPF. Hertz also suffered a huge beat in the 32k Gteed on FTP. With 50 left Hertz lost a monster pot with KK versus AJ AIPF. Obv the dude got there gg, fk life, ect...
Adam who is the fkin man but I didn't know existed at this moment in the poker world played in teh 50r last night. He ended the night in a very Wafflecrush way taking down 2nd for 4k. Good to see you playin again Adam!
I believe Thayer is still in LAPC but I wouldn't quote me on that one.

IMO

FTOP's #1, ect..

I don't know how Wafflecrush will last running like this for much longer. Once again Wafflecrush got off to a great start early with Carter making a final table. (Strangely Enough JPOSU and I were also at that Final Table). Carter got 9th when...sigh...I busted him AQ holding against K10. Sorry Carter. I ended up getting 4th for 3k my 2nd score in 2 nights above 3k.
Around 12 WC was looking good especially Shaun Deeb. Shaun was deep in the Wednesday Night Special on PS and was still in the FTOP with a great stack. Carter was still in the FTOP, Bakes had a great stack in the Wednesday Night Special and Hertz was deep in the $50 25k gteed on PS. Nothing panned out in the PS as both Bakes and Deeb cashed but nothing big. Hertz actually made it to the top 10 and had a top 3 stack. Unfortunately Hertz lost a pot for a huge chip lead QQ losing to A8. In the FTOP both Carter and Shaun had good stacks on the bubble when Carter got really screwed again. Carter got it all in for 2.5x avg with AQ against QJ. Of course in a very Wafflecrushian way the dude got there and no monies for Carter. Shaun made it really far and was running really well until he busted in 16th for around $5k. (Details Later)

Carter Pwns and Pwns and Pwns....no luck though

So today was all about Carter today. Although he didn't play in the 1k or the 100r he still found a way to be the centerpiece of todays action. Carter started early today and got started with a bang. He final tabled a $26 FO on FTP and got 7th. This was the first of many deep runs for Carter. Later that night around midnight, everyone was out of everything except for Carter who was still in the Stuper on PS and the 55k on FTP. Carter was shortish in both but didn't let that affect his play. He stayed patient and eventually got it all in in both well ahead of his opponent. In the 55k Carter got it all in with 99 vs 88 and got rivered. In the stuper Carter got it all in with A10 on a flop of 957 against his opponents KJ. Unfortunately the turn was a K and that was the end of Carter and Wafflecrushes night.

Go Deep And Bust X10029043738

Monday saw only some of the Wafflecrushers playing with Thayer playing the LA Poker Classic and Justin not playing. Shaun Deeb, Jon, Ray, Vivek, and Carter were all in action Monday Night. Carter got things rolling with a great run in a $120 KO MTT on FTP. Carter ultimately got 2nd for about $6k. Fuckin FTPers run too good.
The night looked good around Midnight with Shaun and Ray both still in the 1k on FTP and Jon running over the Stuper. Ray was first to take a big hit when his KK couldn't hold against JJ. A little later, Jon lost a pot for almost 3x the AVG very deep in the Stuper. His QQ couldn't hold against AK. Shaun looked good in the 1k and made it down to 11 people and eventually he got it AIPF with AKdd against 33 for about 1.5x avg and the flop was j108 2d. Unfortunately Shaun couldn't get there and busted in 11th. GL to all Wafflecrushers Tuesday Night, and good luck to Wafflecrushers in LA. (I don't know if Thayer is still in Monday's event but an update will be made soon.)

2nd Sunday A Charm

On Super Bowl Sunday the Wafflecrush had only 5 players playing. Bakes and Thayer led the way and both went deep in many tournaments. Thayer started off the day very hot when he went deep in the Daily Fifteen Grand (3400 people!)and the 100r. Thayer ran bad deep and lost with around 40 people left in both.
Bakes had just an all around amazing day. Every tourney he played it seemed he went deep in. The two biggest were the Sunday Million and the 200r. Bakes played amazing in both of these but unfortunately couldn't get a win or a FT in either. Bakes lost a hand for the chip lead in the Million with 35 people left on a huge hand against the player who ultimately got 3rd. The hand had Bakes with 1.5 million and his opponent with about 3.5 Million. Bakes was in the BB and the Villain was in the SB. It was folded to the Villain who limped at 40k/80k and Bakes made it 290k. The SB tanked and ended up shoving for a huge amount. Bakes tanked and ultimately made a sick call with A5o. The SB flipped over J10o and Bakes was ahead. Unfortunately for Bakes his opponent got there and that was the end of his Million run.
Thayer ended the night as hot as he started. Thayer built a huge stack in the 7 oclock 100 FO on PS. Thayer ended up reaching the final table and with 3 people left he was very short. With 3 people left both of Thayer's opponents had over 600k in chips and Thayer had around 300k. Fortunately for Thayer he is a super ninja master and ended up running over the last 3 people and won handily for 17k! Good job Thayer! Good luck to Wafflecrushers in LA.

Thayer Pwns Again

On a slow Friday night when Wafflecrushers rarely play, the team was in action again. Bakes, Ray, and Thayer all played the majors tonight. Nothing seemed to be going well and everyone was out of pretty much everything by 10:30 ET. All but Thayer in the UB ME. Thayer pretty much ran this tournament over. At one point with 17 people left Thayer had 65k in chips when 2nd was 25k and 3rd was 16k. Thayer never relinquished his chip lead and kept gaining others chips. Eventually he got heads up and his opponent staged a nice comeback. This was all for none when they got it all in on a flop of 987 with Thayer holding J10 and his opponent holding 58. Thayer shipped the final pot of the night and with it $5500. Congrats Thayer!

Appologies To Ray And Jon

So tonight featured the Super Tuesday on PS along with the daily big events on PS and FTP. There were no big wins but for probably the billionth time they had a couple of people go deep. Ray went very far in the 1k and Jon went deep in the 100r, unfortunately it just wasn't there night. In the 100r Jon built a good stack but with 35 ppl left he lost a monstrous pot jj vs. a9. In the 1k Ray made it deep in to the money but he had a common trend of losing decent sized races. He would build and lose a race and repeat. Finally this caught up to him as he got it all in preflop in a huge pot AK vs 99 and unfortunately couldn't get there. There were no other deeps and that was the it for Wafflecrush Tuesday night. GL Wednesday!

Many Deeps...No Firsts

The team was in basically full gear last night and since it was Monday it was a night of tremendous prizepools. The 1k FO on FTP, the 100r on PS, the 55k on FTP, and the 100k on PS all were loaded last night and it looked like it was going to be a great night for Wafflecrush.

Bakes and Thayer got the team off on the right foot when both were deep in the 100k and 100r, respectively, and had great stacks. Bakes ended up getting unlucky a lot and chipping down until he eventually had less than 5 bbs and lost with around 35 ppl left. Thayer was chip leader of the 100r with 35 ppl left. Thayer played and ran well all the way to the final table. The final table was pure chaos as all chipstacks were going up and down like crazy. Thayer's was not any different as he got unlucky in many big pots. His worst beat was losing an avg stack size pot AA to 44. Thayer ended up getting 5th for about 8k.The last deep run of the night was made by Shaun Deeb. He got 9th in the 30r on FTP.

This was the end of a night of deep runs, and no firsts.

The First Sunday

In terms of a Wafflecrush Sunday, this one would not rank as the best but not the worst either. With Thayer, Shaun, Bakes, Ray, Kyle, and Vivek all playing the Borgata ME, it was up to Carter, Jon, Justin, and Adam(!). Carter played his way through only the majors and ran about as horrible as ive ever seen in consecutive majors. In the Warmup, Carter doubled early and stuck around only to eventually lose KK to QQ AIPF. His biggest deep run was in the 100 FO at 1. He made the money only to lose a big pot losing 1010 to A10. Finally he played the 750k and busted in 30 minutes losing AA to AK. Jon and Adam both made deep runs in the Warmup but both were ousted early in the money. Neither made good runs in anything else. Justin made good runs in a lot of stuff the best of which being two FTP tournies. One was a $75 dollar FO which Justin ended up losing just before the FT. The other tourney was the Sunday Mulligan with a 100k guarenteed. Justin got 45th.
In Borgata, after Day 1, Thayer, Ray, and Vivek were the only Wafflecrushers remaining. GL to both online and live Wafflecrushers in their respective Monday tournies.

ShaunFuckingDeeb

This is the first time we have heard from Shaun, granted it's only been a week and he hasnt played much, but I can guarentee you it won't be the last. Shaun was really the only Wafflecrusher in action tonight. Bakes, Thayer and Ray all played a little but none of them played a lot and didn't make it deep in much. Shaun however played pretty much every tournament that was registering on PS. These tournies included:

$15 FO
$22 DS
$100 DS
$11 20k
$11 1 rebuy 1 add on (13th)
$27.50 25k (45th)
$33r
$3r
$100r (2nd)
$150 100k
$50 50k

Shaun is known for playing a large amount of tournies which is one the reasons he's sucha well-known and great player. Shaun had a very successful night and made several deep runs. His deepest runs came in the $11 1 rebuy 1 add on, the 25k, and the 100r. In the 27.50 he had a big stack pretty much the whole time but flamed out. This happened again the $11 1 rebuy 1 add on but he made it a little deeper. He ended up getting 13th. The 100r was the tourney of the night for Wafflecrush. Shaun looked good the entire tourney, accumulating chips at a massive rate. It seemed like Shaun was never close to being avg bc he was always way above it. Shaun ended up fting and getting 2nd. Although Shaun may say he's disappointed by the 2nd it was tough for Shaun to win bc going into HU he was a huge underdog. Shaun ended up winning about 13k....another huge score for Wafflecrush! Tomorrow is the Borgata ME so GL to all Wafflecrushers. Tomorrow is also the first Sunday I'll be blogging so hopefully it will be a good one. I'll also be playing so there won't be updates until late in the night.

Not A Good NIght For The Team

Tonight was the 5k event in Borgata plus the usual online tournaments there are. Ray, Kyle, Thayer, Shaun, Bakes and all played the 5k and were not very successful. Shaun Deeb made the best run but ended up bubbling. Bubbles and UB money. Sighhhhh. Online, Justin and Carter played and both made deep runs in many tournies. This seemed to be a night for bubbles because neither could win an important pot towards the end of the tourney and none of their deep runs panned out. GL the rest of the week online and in Borgata Wafflecrushers!

Summing Up Thursday Night

After Cking's near win there were a lot of deep runs. Ray "Exitonly" went deep in the 11r on PS and had a great stack in the FTP 150. Neither panned out unfortunately. Besides Carter's 2nd place the next deepest run was once again Thayer in the 50k on PS. Thayer was a huge chip leader with 60 people left and ended up getting 10th. Tonight is the 5k FO in Borgata so good luck to all Wafflecrushers and good luck to all online players playing tonight.

Cking Goes Deep For 2nd Straight Night

On a Thursday night when Wafflecrushers were going deep in many tournies it was once again Carter "Ckingusc" to make the biggest splash. Carter went deep in both the FTP 150 and the UB 150. Carter got 18th in FTP after going carddead and eventually busting as a shortstack. In the UB $150 FO Carter made it HU against Mkind0516 but was a 5 to 1 underdog. He fought back getting as close as 2 to 1 but never got closer. Carter took down 2nd for $3200. There are Wafflecrushers still playing so I'll wrapup the night a little later.

Thayer Out in 8th

Congrats to Thayer Rasmussen for placing 8th in the $2500 NL Event in Borgata. For placing 8th Thayer received $24, 676. On a down note Thayer lost two absolutely huge pots kk losing to jj and aq losing to aj both AIPF. Hopefully Thayer will continue to play great along with the rest of the Wafflecrush crew.

Thayer, Carter Carry Wafflecrushers Wednesday Night

Wednesday started off fast for Wafflecrush when as I already reported Carter won a 100 FO on UB. Just what Wafflecrush needs is more UB money. The night had a chance to be really good too as there are two Wednesday Specials on FTP and PS. FTP has its weekly 100r 65k gteed and PS has its $300 Stuper. Jon "FatalError" went deep in FTP and that was about it for Team Wafflecrush online that night. The real buzz came from Wafflecrush co-leader Thayer who, along with Ray "Exitonly" and Bakes "Whooookidd" played in the $2500 NL Event in Borgata. Thayer cruised through the first day and when the night was over ended in 5th place with 22 people remaining. Good luck in day 2 Thayer, take it down.

A Rough First Night For Za Wafflecrush

While I was watching Prison Break and playing a little poker myself, Team Wafflecrush was busy on their first night playing while I was blogging. Let's just say, they've had better nights. On maybe the biggest night of the week besides Sunday the Wafflecrushers had Thayer, Jon, Ray, Justin, Carter and Bakes all in action playing some of the biggest tournaments of the week. These tournaments include the:

-1k Super Tuesday on PS
-100r on PS
-100k gteed (Stuper) on PS
-100 FO on PS
-11r on PS
-55k gteed on FTP
-Daily Double on FTP

It looked as though the night was going to be good, maybe even great when Justin went deep in the 100 FO but after a long run he took down 26th when his jj got all in pre 3 way against ako and aksooted and lost to the latter. Carter played only two tournaments and didn't go deep in either. Bakes played all the majors tonight and didn't go much of anywhere in any. In the stuper Bakes was sitting out for almost an hour before he realized it with 1 bb left and sat...and lost 1 minute later. Thayer seemed to stick around in a lot of tournies before losing just before the money bubble but in the FTP 55k he had a top 10 stack with 40 ppl left. Unfortunately he chipped down and ultimately lost getting 31st. Last but not least Ray could have had something going in the biggest tournament of the night/week (the 1k) but lost the wc bad beat of the night:
